Cryptexes are fun projects that I realy enjoy creating.  They were made famous in the movie Da Vinci Code.  They can be made to conceal a pen or a wine bottle.  Using your secret word to unlock the cryptex will enhance the joy of owning your very own.   I make these to order and will work from your inputs and desire's to create a very special gift.  Contact me, walt@totallyturned.com  with your idea's and for more information.

Bird Houses full size or miniature are fun and enjoyable items to have around the house.   In a special nook or hanging on a tree they always add interest to your setting.  These orniment  sized bird houses are ¾" to 1" in diameter and 1½" to 2¼" tall.  The bodies are walnut from a local walnut grove and the tops are sweet gum from a tree a property owner removed here in Hanford.  I make the stands and hand bend the hangers.  They are approximately 6-7" tall. 

Bottle Stoppers are fun to make.  I never know exactly what shape I'm going to do until the wood starts turning.  I use Ruth Niles plungers that are not only made in America but are stainless steel.  They will not corrode or react with wine or vinegar.  I can add your favorite coin, stone or medallion to the top and personalize one for you.
